Abstract
Following intravenous administration, 3-chlorobiphenyl cleared more rapidly than 2- or 4-chlorobiphenyl from the plasma of Thorny (Raja radiata) and Winter Skates (R. ocellata). All three isomers accumulated in other tissues, notably muscle and liver, but with considerable variance from fish to fish. The amount of the 3-isomer remaining in the fish was consistently less than that of the 2- or 4- isomer. All three compounds were excreted rapidly fromR. ocellata following intravenous administration, the 3- isomer more rapidly than the other two.
