Abstract

In critically ill patients, a systematic and stepwise approach should be instituted for hemodynamic monitoring and appropriate treatment. A safe and functional venous access in pediatrics is necessary for evaluating hemodynamic measurements, blood sampling, and delivering proper modalities such as hemodialysis, medications, and fluids administration, apheresis, chemotherapy, continuous renal replacement therapies, etc.
