The Post-Pandemic World and Global Politics

Abstract

The preceding chapter discussed COVID-19, its potential impact on the world, and the ways in which the world is divided by political ideology (Ma et al., Scientific Reports 11:1–14, 2021). This raises questions about how politicians and the media contributed to the politicization and polarization of COVID-19. This form of news coverage has the potential to cause individuals to think in ways that exacerbate political divides.
