Abstract
The course of development of human civilization has continuously been accompanied by wars, as small as between tribal factions in primitive societies, and as large as the world wars among dozens of countries in the twentieth century. The haze of war has never disappeared. From the slashing of swords and flesh and blood, to the penetration of artillery and smoke, from the torrent of planes and chariots to the duel of data and information, the pattern of war always follows the pace of human industrial civilization and constantly changes. Behind every change is a major military revolution.
