Abstract
Recent remote sensing works in the coastal engineering community of Japan will be introduced in the keynote. They are satellite remote sensing (optical sensing, SAR), regional and local remote sensing (optical sensor or laser on airplane, helicopter or UAV, and land-based radar) which aim to observe waves, currents, morphologies and other items of coastal water bodies and lands.
