Abstract

Hybrid ESD is defined as the use of a snare EMR at the final stage of the ESD procedure. The indication of these resection methods is the tumors up to 30–40 mm in size, which is difficult to resect by en bloc with snare EMR. In clinical situation, the choice of whether to use a snare and the timing of snaring are depended on the situation during the procedure and the condition of the lesion. The safety and efficacy of hybrid ESD is verified, because these techniques are expected to decrease procedure time and the frequency of perforation.
