Abstract
With the initiatives of Government of India for smart cities, the number of IOT devices being manufactured has shot up with varying communication capabilities. This poses a problem of resource allocation on non-deterministic wireless channels. Recently, most of the researchers are looking at dual network option to continuously provide communication bandwidth for the IOT devices to communicate. In this paper, a resource allocation mechanism for LTE/Wi-Fi dual network is proposed considering aggressive and non-aggressive nodes to be present in the network. The comparison is made between the resource allocation schemes in which one takes into account the channel conditions and the other does not consider channel conditions.
