About the editor

Prof. Suojiang Zhang is a Professor and the Director of Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a 973 Chief Scientist, also a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Prof. Zhang received a number of awards, including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists (2006), Second Class Prize of National Natural Science Award (2010) and Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Achievement Award (2014).

Prof. Zhang is the Editor-in-Chief of Green Energy and Environment(GEE) and Process Engineering Journal of China, and is serving as Editorial Board Members of several international journals including Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, Greenhouse Gases: Science and Technology, Science China Chemistry, etc. He has published more than 350 papers with more than 15000 citations, and 8 edited/authored books. He also holds more than 120 patents.

Prof. Zhang's research focuses on green chemical processes, especially the fundamentals and applications of ionic liquids. Prof. Zhang established a DPPAI platform of ionic liquids, which includes Molecular Design, Structure-Properties, Large Scale Preparation, Industrial Applications, and Green Integrations.
