Abstract
The appendix provides a detailed description of the methodology employed in the research. It introduces the epistemological approach, which is based on social constructivism, and the participatory methods used by describing their relevance to address the research objectives. It also provides a detailed description of the Rapid Rural Appraisal methods utilized for the analysis of the collective action through the two case studies. Since one of the most important methodological tools used in the research has been semi-structured interviews, the final section of this chapter describes the analytical approach that has been used to analyze the data collected through the interviews, which is based on the Grounded Theory principles.
