Zusammenfassung

Die Physiotherapie stellt ein wichtiges Mitglied des intensivmedizinischen Therapeutenteams dar. Der Stellenwert der Frühmobilisation und der Atemphysiotherapie hat in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen. Eine hochqualitative Intensivmedizin erfordert daher eine konsequente frühzeitige Physiotherapie, um Sekundär- und Tertiärschäden zu vermeiden bzw. so gering wie möglich zu halten.
