Premalignant Lesions: Combination Treatments in Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery

Abstract

Cryosurgery is the most commonly used single or multiple procedural individual therapies. As a field therapy, it has proven effective but its use much less common. The current approach when dealing with sun-damaged skin is to combine individual therapies with field therapies. These combinations give better therapeutic results than either treatment used separately. Some common combinations are with retinoics, 5-fluorouracil, diclofenac sodium 3 %, and ingenol mebutate.
