Abstract

The only data pertaining to the Fe-Os phase diagram stem from investigations undertaken by Buckley and Hume-Rothery [1] and by Fallot [2]. The former studied the liquidus-solidus relations in the Fe-rich region up to 7 at. % Os, while [2] carried out thermal analyses to establish the α/γ transformation temperatures.
