Abstract
Very little information on the Fe-Ir phase diagram is available. An attempt has been made to correlate existing data, and a tentative equilibrium diagram is suggested (Fig. 32). It is based mainly on experimental results obtained by Buckley and Hume-Rothery [1] (liquidus/solidus for the Fe-rich region) and Raub et al. [2], Fallot [3] (solid state reactions).
