Zusammenfassung
Der demografische Wandel in Deutschland stellt Unternehmen kurz- bis mittelfristig vor die Herausforderung, mit deutlich veränderten Altersstrukturen umzugehen. Für die Arbeit in Innovationsprojekten impliziert diese Entwicklung, dass sich Teammitglieder über ihren kross-funktionalen Hintergrund hinaus, häufig auch stärker hinsichtlich ihres Alters und ihrer Berufserfahrung unterscheiden. Es wird aufgezeigt, dass Veränderungen der Altersstruktur und des Teamdesigns einen geringen – aber nicht zu vernachlässigenden – Einfluss auf die Ergebnisse der Teamarbeit aufweisen. Die Ergebnisse basieren auf einer aktuellen Befragung von Innovationsprojekten aus 290 Unternehmen des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes in Deutschland.
