Zusammenfassung

Daß Handeln „zielgerichtet“ sei, ist eine oft wiederholte Binsenweisheit psychologischer Lehrbücher. Die Probleme beginnen, wenn man weiter fragt, worin denn im einzelnen Fall die Ziele bestehen und wie sie das Handeln leiten. Schon die erste Frage, worauf handlungsleitende Ziele sich beziehen, enthält eine notorische Viel-Bestimmbarkeit des psychologischen Zielbegriffs. Sie können auf verschiedenen Ebenen der Abstraktion und der zeitlichen Entferntheit angesiedelt sein und dabei zudem Mitteloder Zweckcharakter haben.
