Abstract
The following model representing the introduction of dust and gaseous air pollutants in the Niepolomice Forest ecosystem has been accepted in the present study:
To evaluate this model the amounts of dust and gaseous pollutants emitted by the urban-industrial agglomeration of Cracow were determined, as well as the grain size, chemical, and mineralogical characteristics of the dust. The pollutant concentration, as well as the meteorological parameters in the near-ground air layer, were determined from direct measurements. These data were supplemented with photos of shifting pollutant plumes.
