Radiation Climate in Fishpond Littoral Plant Communities

  • Chapter
Pond Littoral Ecosystems

Part of the book series: Ecological Studies ((ECOLSTUD,volume 28))

Abstract

The results of detailed measurements of both global and photosynthetically active radiation in littoral communities have been reported by Ondok (1973 a, b, c, 1975; in press, 1978). The most detailed description of methods used is given in Ondok (in press, 1978). This paper summarizes the characteristics of the radiation regime in different helophyte stands colonizing fishpond shores. This section will frequently refer to the above papers for more detailed descriptions of some of the methods and theoretical considerations including the literature used.
