Endoscopic Mucosal Resection for Upper GI Neoplasia

Abstract

Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) is an endoscopic treatment typically using an electric snare. Distinct from a polypectomy, EMR removes a small affected area of mucosa completely by resecting through the middle or deeper part of the submucosa.
