Abstract
This poster considers mathematical diagrams composed of algebraic visual objects where the role of words and symbols has been explicitly removed with the intention of (re)assigning that role to visual object. Interrelationships between global and local algebraic visual objects become the working abstraction in the space, but challenge text. This transposition is juxtaposed against the historical parallel of early western musical notation, the music as language vs. music as space conflict targeted in the Papal Bull of 1324-25.
