Trigonal Members of the Lovozerite Group: A Re-investigation

  • Conference paper
Minerals as Advanced Materials I

Abstract

Minerals of the lovozerite group are natural microporous titano- and zirconosilicates. Understanding crystal chemistry of these minerals might be useful for understanding specific features of microporous octahedral-tetrahedral materials in general, especially those that are of existing or potential use in chemical industry. Today the lovozerite group includes nine minerals: trigonal (lovozerite, tisinalite, kazakovite, zirsinalite, combeite), orthorhombic (koashvite, imandrite) and monoclinic (kapustinite, litvinskite).
