Zusammenfassung

Krisen ereilen Organisationen unerwartet und können massive Auswirkungen bis hin zur Existenzbedrohung entfalten. Ein versierter Umgang mit krisenhaften Situationen gehört daher zu den Grundanforderungen an eine erfolgreiche Unternehmensführung. Voraussetzung jeder erfolgreichen Krisenbewältigung ist eine frühzeitige und triftige Krisenerkennung. Ist die Krise als solche erkannt, ist die Einleitung unmittelbarer wie auch struktureller Bewältigungsschritte auf der Basis einer Analyse der Krisenursachen erforderlich. Um zukünftige Krisen zu vermeiden oder abzuschwächen, bedarf es darüber hinaus präventiver Maßnahmen als Fortsetzung der Krisenbewältigung. Im folgenden Beitrag wird der Stand der Diskussion zur Krisenperzeption, -analyse und -handhabung herausgearbeitet. Dabei wird insbesondere auf die individuellen und organisatorischen Hindernisse hingewiesen, die sich einem effektiven Krisenmanagement entgegenstellen können.
