Abstract

This article presents selected problems design of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) in aspect of functional and technical configuration of ITS. The configuration of ITS system may includes several subsystems described taking into account following aspects and components: main objectives, specific objectives, functionalities, integration with external systems, main installations and technical components, technical components location. The structure of an example ITS configuration based on ITS for urban agglomeration – case study for ITS KZK GOP (in Poland) – has been presented.
