Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is often associated with skin lesions. Identification of the skin lesions related to COVID-19 is important for early diagnosis and better management of affected patients. The cutaneous manifestations of COVID-19 are classified into two major categories: inflammatory lesions (maculopapular erythematous rash, papulovesicular eruption, urticarial lesions, erythema multiforme-like) and vasculopathic reaction (livedo reticularis/livedo racemosa, petechiae/noninflammatory purpura and skin necrosis, acral lesions, cutaneous small-vessel vasculitis). In addition, mucocutaneous lesions are common in multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children with COVID-19. This chapter provides a description of each entity in terms of definition, clinical and pathological manifestations, etiopathogenesis, prognosis, treatment, and differential diagnoses.
