Clinical Guide to Musculoskeletal Medicine

Abstract

The most common knee pathologies requiring surgical intervention can be divided into three major categories: (1) knee intra-articular disorders (ACL, PCL, meniscal, and cartilage injuries), (2) knee osteoarthritis, and (3) knee fractures and dislocations. The surgical management can differ depending on the type of injury and patient characteristics including age, functional status, and comorbidities.
