Abstract

Several scintigraphic imaging procedures are being used to diagnose and follow up gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions. These functional studies provide information that is complementary to those of the morphologic studies and may not be demonstrated by them. The following is a brief discussion of the most common procedures.
