Abstract

In this paper we study the effect of metal-dependent stellar models on chemical yields and in particular on the history of nitrogen and oxygen abundances. We find thatN yield decreases with increasing metal content. This effect somewhat balances the growth of secondary enrichment in nitrogen and leads to a relation between oxygen and nitrogen in fair agreement with observational data for galactic Hii regions.
