Abstract
The designation of the galaxies in NGC 4496 is in considerable confusion. The cross-identification table of these galaxies (i.e. PGC 41450, PGC 41471 and PGC 41473) in various catalogues is presented in this note and the unified designations of these galaxies are recommended.
