Summary
In the context of some general remarks and considerations about the concept of history, which gives us also criteria for the presence, a short review of the essential scientific and surgical accomplishments of Fedor Krause is given. Furthermore some remarks are made about the development of natural sciences, especially Neurophysiology and Neurology, from a sophistic to the materialistic medicine during the nineteenth century.
