The Postwar Panorama of Logic in Poland

  • Chapter
Logic and Scientific Methods

Part of the book series: Synthese Library ((SYLI,volume 259))

Abstract

In this essay1 I briefly discuss some developments in logic in Poland after the Second World War at the period of the communist domination. By no means the essay is meant to be a technical report on problems and results. Rather, I shall try to present some of the main trends and ideas, as well as to give some flavor of those times which happily enough are over.
