Abstract
Cannabis is a genus of flowering plant that includes three species—sativa, indica, and ruderalis. Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica products are used recreationally and as a source of fiber. Cannabis ruderalis is a species of Cannabis originating in Central Russia. It is less common than the other species of Cannabis. It has a lower THC content than the other two, so it is rarely grown for recreational use. Its much shorter stature (about 2 ft) limits its application for hemp production. It is used traditionally in Russian and Mongolian folk medicine, especially for the treatment of depression.
