Since previous research has already described the typical mechanism by which amobarbital and other barbiturates are metabolized,47–49 we were focused on whether the amobarbital concentration was affected differently when the drug was dispersed in the HA hydrogel versus in free drug solution at various storage conditions. The purpose of this stability study was to evaluate the short-term stability of the formulation immediately after injection into the joint capsule compared to samples combined with water using an in vitro model.

And subsequently, the intermediate will be further hydrolyzed to form carboxylate [34,35]. PDAMU, as a kind of malonylurea derivatives, should also undergo the similar alkaline hydrolysis process, as demonstrated in Fig. 5a.
