Polysaccharides prepared from sunflower production waste

Abstract

The composition and content of polysaccharides recovered from various samples of sunflower husks by their sequential treatment with water, ammonium oxalate (or oxalic acid), and alkali were examined. The products were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy.
