Abstract
Quaternary ammonium salts were synthesized at a 62.5-98% yield by quaternization with 2-acetylallyl chloride of pyridine and its α-methyl and γ-benzoyl derivatives; tributyl-, triethanol-, and dimethylbenzylamines; N-methylpiperidine; quinoline; N,N-dimethylaniline and its p-bromo and p-methyl derivatives. The inhibiting activity of these salts against corrosion of 08 KP steel and TsO zinc in sulfuric acid solution was studied.
