Electron-Proton Effect in Catalysis

Abstract

The essence of the electron-proton effect is described with donor-acceptor complexes of quinones with hydroquinones as example. It is shown that this effect frequently occurs in organic chemistry and plays an important role in noncatalytic and catalytic reactions.
