Service of refractories in a combined installation for steel degassing in magnitogorsk metallurgical works

Abstract

An installation with a removable hearth for out-of-furnace steel degassing which can be used for batch and circulation degassing is described. The most stable refractories are chosen for operation in various zones of the lining. The outer lining of the chutes is made of a low cement corundum concrete.
