Abstract
In this paper we present a new language based on logic programming allowing us to represent some forms of social reasoning. The nice feature of this semantics is that the interdependent individuals’ requirements might result in a sort of guessing of agreed conclusions, which autonomously each individual cannot derive, thus capturing the common case of mutual influence of a community in the individuals’ reasoning.
This is an abridged version of the report “A Logic Language to Reason in a Social Modality”, TR Lab. Ing. Inf. 08/01. The reader may download it in order to find all the technical issues not included here for space limitations (http://www.ai.unirc.it/tr0801.pdf).
