IN JANUARY 1998 the RCN launched its Research and Development (R&D) Co-ordinating Centre in Wales. The primary aim of the centre is to make explicit the infrastructure that is currently in place to support the conduct and use of research and practice development in nursing (O Carroll and McMahon 1999).
