Nurses need to be taught the skills to manage the diet of mentally ill patients

DIETARY ADVICE to patients with mental illness is sadly lacking in consistency, if provided at all. When it is provided, the emphasis is on the medical perspective, the possible interaction of certain foodstuffs with specific forms of prescribed medication.
