Elderly people with dementia were becoming more common, while age group fastest grown and the percentage of elderly people with dementia grown. This study investigates the community care service network giving to the elderly with dementia in Taiwan area-Chia-yi city case. This study examines the the community care service network giving to the elderly with dementia in Chia-yi city and how the professional care group contributed to elderly people with dementia through social actions and long-term care service. The study utilizes qualitative method based on a purposeful sampling using in-depth interviews of elderly people with dementia. The study period estimates from the 1st of August, 2008 to 31of July,2009. There are five purposes in this study. The first purpose is about analyzing the welfare policy and long-term care of elderly people in Chia-yi city. The second purpose is about analyzing the potential life problem and life demand problem of elderly people with dementia in Chia-yi city. The third purpose is about analyzing the type of community care service network of elderly people with dementia. The forth purpose is about to understand the development and problem of community care service network of elderly people with dementia. The fifth purpose is about to explore the professional group promote the tactics, actions and roles in the course of the community care service network of elderly people with dementia. The study finally provides three conclusions and four suggestions for future studies and practices.
