新型電活性烯類聚合物之合成、鑑定與性質研究

Synthesis,Characterization and Property Studies of Novel Electroactive Vinyl Polymers

摘要


中文摘要 此研究主軸主要在合成一具有共軛苯胺五聚體側鏈之新型電活性烯類聚合物(vinyl polymers)並鑑定其結構與探討其物性可能之應用領域。在2003年Brian C. Benicewicz等人發表以poly(methacrylamide)s當作主鏈並且懸掛苯胺寡聚體探討側鏈寡聚苯胺長度的大小對高分子氧化還原狀態的影響。然而在上述的合成方法中,單邊胺基的寡聚苯胺的合成採用複雜多步的方法製備;並且寡聚苯胺的二級胺則利用tert-butoxycarbonyl(BOC)保護基保護再做聚合。在本研究中則利用簡單的化學氧化偶合反應法製備苯胺五聚體(aniline pentamer),接著將其與甲基丙烯酸縮水甘油脂(glycidyl methacrylate)做環氧開環反應合成出乙烯巨單體(vinyl macromonomer),再以過氧化苯甲醯(benzoyl peroxide)為起始劑進行自由基溶液聚合反應以製備電活性烯類聚合物,完全簡化了Brian C. Benicewicz等人繁雜的合成步驟。所製備出來的單體產物進ㄧ步利用液相層析質譜儀(LC-Mass)、傅立葉紅外線光譜儀(FTIR)、核磁共振儀氫譜分析(1H-NMR)做基本鑑定。合成的烯類聚合物除了光譜分析之外,其分子量藉由凝膠滲透層析儀(GPC)來決定。另外,利用氧化劑過硫酸銨(ammonium persulfate)的逐步少量添加,以紫外光-可見光分析儀(UV-Visible spectrometer)觀察電活性烯類聚合物之化學氧化還原(reversible redox)的可逆變化過程。 至於電活性烯類聚合物之電活性探討部分是由循環伏安電位分析儀(CV)來測量,研究結果顯示樣品具有三對特徵氧化還原峰,其氧化還原形態類似苯胺五聚體。將烯類聚合物塗佈在導電玻璃基材(ITO)上,在0.5 N H2SO4 (aq)為電解液,施加不同的電位亦觀察光譜電化學(spectroelectrochemical)之變化。對於鹼式中間氧化態的烯類聚合物粉體則以熱重分析儀(TGA)、熱差掃描分析儀(DSC)分析其材料之熱性質。不同分子量之電活性烯類聚合物在金屬電極上之防腐蝕數據顯示出比非電活性的聚甲基丙烯酸縮水甘油脂有更佳的防蝕效果。

In this works, new electroactive vinyl polymers containing conjugated segment of aniline pentamer (ANP) side chains were successful synthesized. First of all, Oligoanilines were prepared by chemical oxidative coupling reaction, followed by reacting with glycidyl methacrylate to give macromonomer. Vinyl polymers were prepared by free radical polymerization with benzoyl peroxide. They were characterized by IR, LC-MS, 1H-NMR spectroscopic techniques. The molecular weights of the polymers were measured by GPC, affored polymer with good polydispersity(PD) and molecular. The chemical oxidation process of vinyl polymers were studied by UV–Vis spectra. The electrochemical characterization of vinyl polymers by cyclic voltammetry indicated that the redox behaviors were similar to the corresponding oligoanilines.It should be noted that the corrosion protection properties of electroactive vinyl polymers were found to be much better than their counterpart (i.e. non-electroactive vinyl polymer, PGMA) based on a series of electrochemical measurements of corrosion potential, polarization resistance, corrosion current and impedance spectroscopy in 5 wt% aqueous NaCl electrolyte. Spectroelectrochemical studies on polymers were carried out in 0.5 M H2SO4 for different potential using ITO as the working electrode.
