This study presents the anatomical features of the bamboo materials obtained from eight introduced bamboo species now growing in Taiwan. They include Guadua angustifolia Kunth, Gigmtochloa levis Mess., Gigantochloa apus Kurz, Gigantoch oa verticillata Munro, Bambusa tulda Roxb, Bambusa longispiculata, Bambusa tuldoides Munro, and Schizosta. chym jollingeri Stend. The experimental materials were taken from the middle part of each stele of these eight bamboo species for＂ the purpose of comparison. The observations resulted from this study are particularly useful for their identifications. furthermore, the suggested utilization potential of these bamboo are also enumerated.
