Introduction of the Chinese Version Assessment Instruments for Auditory Hallucination

A literature review was conducted to identify the assessment instruments of auditory hallucination, since 2007 the last review work had been done on this topic in Taiwan. Four measures translated into Chinese were included: Auditory Hallucination Assessment Scales (AHAS), Characteristics of Auditory Hallucinations Questionnaire (CAHQ), the Psychotic Symptom Rating Scales (PSYRATS), and Beliefs About Voices Questionnaires-Revised (BAVQ-R). This article provides healthcare professionals a resource for assessment of auditory hallucination in clinical practice, research, and education.
