Vlastiti interes i pohlepa - da li je homo economicus nemoralan?

Sažetak
Središnje pitanje ovog članka je da li je vlastiti interes, koji je postao tehnički termin ekonomije, samo preimenovan i opravdan negdanji smrtni greh pohlepe, ili je s njim nastupilo jedno novo i drugačije razumevanje čoveka i poželjne organizacije društva. U prvom delu rada se izlažu argumenti koji su artikulisali prvu tezu, a u drugom oni koji je osporavaju. U zaključnom delu rada ukazuje se na mogućnost interpretacija koje usvajaju kritiku vlastitog interesa kao naslednika pohlepe, ali nalaze način da sačuvaju njegovu samostalnost i operativnost, kako unutar ekonomske teorije, tako i unutar sugerisane društvene prakse.
