The Graduate Profile as a Generating Framework for Novel Elements in the Primary Education Curriculum

The article addresses the concept of graduate profile – a new concept with the semantic valences of finality, defined as a regulatory component of the National Curriculum. It highlights the fundamental role of the graduate profile in curricular development at primary education level (2018) in order to achieve the connection of the curricular system of finalities to society’s expectations regarding the students’ school track from the perspective of the type of personality that is proposed to be formed.
