Overview of ALMA capabilities
Description
ALMA consists of three arrays that allow to cover emission over different spatial scales. The maximum resolution is obtained with the 12m array, which can be completemented with the more compact 7m array for extended sources. The most extended sources also require the addition of the total power antennas.
