본 연구는 비구조적인 환경 속에서 자유로움과 즐거움을 바탕으로 한 전래놀이 활동과 유아들의 자연스러운 친사회성 발달 간의 연관성을 알아보고 유아의 친사회성을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 전래놀이 자료가 풍부하고 또래 간 친사회적 행동을 중점교육으로 삼아 운영되는 J유치원 만3세 나무반을 연구대상으로 선정하였고, 유아 13명의 전래놀이환경과 활동을 관찰하였다. 유아들의 전래놀이 활동은 동영상 촬영을 실시하였으며 연구자의 관찰일지, 연구자 간의 토의, 사진 등을 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 전래놀이 활동을 통해서 유아들은 서로의 마음을 열어가면서 친밀해지는 모습을 보였다. 둘째, 친구의 마음을 이해하고 공감하는 모습과 친구를 위로하고 서로에게 도움이 되고자 노력하는 친사회적 행동을 나타냈다. 셋째, 전래놀이가 지속되면서 유아들은 자신의 것을 나누면서 친구와 함께 하고자 하는 모습을 보였고 서로 협력하면서 놀이를 즐기고자 하는 모습을 보였다. 이상의 결과를 통해 본 연구는 전래놀이의 활용은 유아의 친사회성 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 결론을 내릴 수 있었고 다양한 교수환경을 구성하고 유아가 함께 교수환경을 활용하면서 자연스럽게 전래놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 하는 교수학습방법 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

This study was designed to look at the relationship between traditional play activity and pro-sociality of young children in an unstructured environment. Based on the results of the observation, we also wanted to find ways to improve pro-sociality in children. In order to achieve the goal of the research study, we choose to conduct the study at J Kindergarten, which collects abundant data on traditional play and is focused on pro-sociality between peers and observed the environment and activities of 13 3-year-old children. Children's activities were recorded and analyzed by collecting observations, holding discussions among researchers and by taking photographs. The research showed that young children became closer and comforted one another as they opened their hearts to each other. They also showed understanding and empathy for their friends and pro-sociality in which they tried to console and help each other. As the game continued, young children tried to share what they were trying to do with their friends and to play with each other while cooperating. Based on the aforementioned results, the study concluded that the use of traditional play has a positive effect on the improvement of pro-sociality in children and the development of teaching skills that allow young children to enjoy traditional play in a natural way.
