이 글은 인문학과 교양교육의 실천적 수행의 의미를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 인문학은 지식이나 학문 영역에 머물러 있지 말고 현실과 일상의 삶으로 이행하여 실천할 수 있어야 한다. 과학기술의 발달로 다양한 미디어와 영상 플랫폼이 범람하는 현대사회에서 인문학의 가치와 역할은 더욱 부각되어야 한다. 그런 점에서 인문학의 적용과 실천에 대한 인식의 제고가 필요하다. 인문교양과 그것의 실천을 위한 한 방식으로서 읽기와 쓰기의 의미를 강조해야 한다. 인문학의 실천과 교양교육은 다양한 대상과 현상을 통해 이뤄질 수 있다. 인간의 삶은 타인과의 끊임없는 소통을 전제로 한다는 점에서 글쓰기 행위는 인문학을 실천하는 중요한 한 방식이라 할 수 있다. 대학생들은 인문교양의 중요성을 인식하고 있음에도 그 실천 방법인 글쓰기에 대해서는 여전히 어려움을 겪거나 거리를 두고 있음을 알 수 있다. 인문학이 추구하는 인간적 삶을 위해 적극적인 표현과 소통에 관한 교육이 필요하다.

This thesis is about the meaning of the humanities practice and liberal arts education. The humanities should not be confined to the realm of knowledge or academics, but should be implemented in real life and daily life. The value and role of the humanities should be emphasized more in the modern society where various media and image platforms are overflowing with the development of science and technology. In this regard, it is necessary to raise awareness about the use and practice of the humanities. The meaning of reading and writing should be emphasized as a way to practice the humanities. Human life is made up of constant communication with others. Therefore, writing is important ways of practicing the humanities. Students recognize the importance of liberal arts education. Nevertheless, they still face difficulties or distance themselves from writing, the practice method of the humanities. Education on active expression and communication is necessary for the ‘human life’ pursued by the humanities.
