ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at how women are being represented in media as well as society, and the expectation of ‘superwomen’ being exceptional at both work and at home. It draws on data showing that women are spending more time with their children and yet working more hours outside of the home than ever before. This chapter integrates cases from working women and the pressures they feel to ‘have it all’.
