Abstract

With the rapid development of economy and science and technology, the global economy has gradually realized integration. Under this background of the times, western culture gradually integrated and penetrated into society, and gradually produced various English literary works. At the same time, these literary works have relatively good literary value, and have important reference significance for social development and cultural development. In the current process of literary development, how to gradually translate literary works into Chinese is a problem that domestic cultural translators and literary scholars need to study and discuss in depth. Translation is equivalent to re-cutting an art without changing the original meaning. Under the premise, it will be converted into another language form, which is convenient for people to read widely. As a matter of fact, the translation of excellent English and American literature is extremely rich in aesthetic value, which can show the artistic characteristics of its literature. This paper uses literature review and questionnaire survey methods to study the aesthetic value of English and American literature translation. The research of this paper finds that the concrete ways of embodying the aesthetic value in the translation of English and American literature include aesthetic value through the translation of literary imagery, aesthetic value through the translation of literary emotion, and aesthetic value through the translation of literary mood. In addition, the aesthetic value in English-American literature translation is diverse. Understanding the aesthetic value in English-American literature translation can translate better works.
