Abstract: A collaborative research center connects research groups across institutions. Individual and diverse research output needs to become part of the consortium‘s data collection as a whole. This offers unique opportunities, but also challenges. Distributed data management, where projects control key data management decisions (standards, storage, sharing), and the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of their data is achieved with a common data management software layer (overlay structure) is a possible solution. The poster presents ongoing software developments across the DataLad (datalad.org) ecosystem which are influenced by our involvement as the INF project in CRC1451 (sfb1451.de).
